APB Storage is a local, family-owned self storage company serving Jefferson County and the surrounding communities. The company is owned and operated by the Ruble family: Bill, Angi, Ash, Justine, and Jacob. We take pride in providing affordable storage, well-maintained facilities, and friendly service to our community.
Our goal is simple: make storing your belongings as easy and hassle-free as possible.
Our Story
APB Storage began in 2019, but our story started years earlier.
Before getting into self storage, our family worked in the local single-family housing industry. We helped people find homes that fit both their needs and their budgets, and we quickly noticed a common problem: people often needed more space for the things they wanted to keep.
That got us thinking about self storage.
In August 2019, we purchased a storage facility in Barnhart, Missouri and rebranded it as APB Storage. The facility had good bones, but it needed some work. We got to work improving everything from the buildings and grounds to the way customers rented and managed their units.
We added online rentals and payments, electronic gate access, improved security, and many other features designed to make storage easier and more convenient.
Before long, Barnhart was consistently full. We hated having to turn people away simply because we didn't have a unit available, so we started thinking bigger.
In 2021, we purchased four acres off Shapiro Drive in Festus and began planning a brand-new storage facility. Construction started in January 2022, and after plenty of delays and supply-chain challenges, APB Storage's Festus facility officially opened in September 2022.
Today, we operate both facilities as a family business with the same goal we had when we started: provide people with affordable, convenient storage and make the entire experience as easy as possible.

Manages our office operations and creates the photos, videos, graphics, and other multimedia content used throughout APB Storage.

Communications Coordinator
Penske Rental Representative
Manages our social media and communications while helping customers with Penske truck rentals and keeping everyone connected with APB.
Jacob Ruble
Custodian
Maintenance Technician
Keeps our facilities clean, well-maintained, and looking their best while handling repairs, maintenance, and improvements at both APB locations.
